Course Details

The Cast Metals Institute provides educational courses for the metalcasting industry in a variety of formats and on a wide array of topics. With more than 70 courses being taught to an average of 1000 students per year, CMI offers something for everyone. Course topics fall into the areas of melting, molding and coremaking, ferrous metals, nonferrous metals, gating and risering, engineering, investment casting technologies and quality control.

CMI offers several ways for students to learn metalcasting skills. CMI offers both face-to-face and Internet classes. Our face-to-face classes include lecture and laboratory courses and are held at various locations across the United States. Internet courses run from 4 to 17 weeks, depending on the course, and there are 10 different courses currently being offered in this format.
